Your network is talking. Now you can hear it.
A meter drifts. A main leaks overnight. A basin fills before the rain stops. A sewer turns corrosive. Every one of these leaves a trace long before it becomes a callout. Microtronics data loggers and gateways sit where the trace is, in shafts, basins, wells and cabinets, and stay there for years on a single battery.
Five families. One decision each.
Every Microtronics device ships as a complete package: the hardware, the cellular transmission and the monitoring platform in one. Some are battery loggers you drop into a shaft. Some are gateways that sit in a cabinet and talk to the machines already there. Pick the family that matches where it will live and what it has to reach, then choose a variant by how many sensors you need.
What these devices are used for
Jellox Pulse
The counter. A compact battery logger that watches water meters, pressure and access hatches in supply networks. It reads pulses and contacts, spots leaks and night-flow anomalies, and drops into a meter shaft or cellar without wiring.
| Variant | Inputs | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | 2 digital contacts | Manhole / cover opening, door contact, float switch |
| Pro | 4 counter / digital inputs | Bulk water meters, forward & reverse meters, valve position |
| Elite | 4 inputs + 4 remote sensors | Adds line-pressure and level measurement |
Bulk meters and leakage across a supply network
- Leakage alarm on the distribution main, flagged early before losses build
- Monitoring of bulk water meters with flow rate and absolute meter value
- Night quantity measurement to expose hidden consumption and illegal draw-offs
- Optional sensor adds water quality monitoring on the same logger
Jellox Node / Analog / Gas
The survivor. The same rugged Jellox body, certified for explosive sewer atmospheres. A 10-second measuring interval and a 10-year battery let it track fill level, flow, overflow and toxic gas in the network, and stay put for years between visits.
| Variant | Measures | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Node | Events & digital states | Rain events, level & flow calculation, overflow, shaft damming |
| Analog | 4–20 mA sensors | Cover / valve / throttle status, external water, usage via sensors |
| Gas | Live gas concentration | H₂S monitoring, odour & corrosion alarms, dosing control |
Pro vs Elite: each variant comes as Pro (1 remote sensor) or Elite (4 remote sensors). Same device, more measuring points.
Level measurement in a storage sewer or overflow basin
- Permanent monitoring of fill level and overflow, with staged alarms
- Level read via pressure, radar or 4-20 mA sensor, plus digital float switch
- Automated e-mail reporting of overflow events and clogging alerts
- 10 year battery life with remote sensors at 10 second response times
myDatalogEASY IoT
The all-rounder. A freely programmable outdoor logger and gateway for measuring stations that have no mains and no cabinet. Universal analogue and digital inputs, RS232 / RS485 / SDI-12 interfaces, and solar, battery or mains power, so it replaces a small control cabinet on a pole.
| Variant | Inputs | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| IoT | 4 universal + serial interfaces | Full-feature outdoor measuring & control stations |
| IoT ATEX | 2 universal, ATEX Zone 2 | Field stations inside explosion-hazard areas |
| IoTmini | 4 universal, compact housing | Tight enclosures and simpler retrofit applications |
Gateway-only option: a pure IoT GW ATEX version (no inputs) is available where the device only needs to relay data from wireless remote sensors.
Drainage monitoring and stormwater overflow basins
- Detects pump failure during drainage through permanent level monitoring
- Q/h table calculates the discharge quantity from measured levels
- Integrated 4-20 mA barriers for sensors up to ATEX Zone 0
- Runs self-sufficient on solar or from inside the switch cabinet
myDatalogC3
The gateway. A DIN-rail unit that combines logger, PLC, router and firewall in one. Modbus RS485, RS232 and CAN talk to machines and controllers, relay outputs drive actuators, and a buffer battery raises the alarm the moment mains power drops.
| Role | What it does |
|---|---|
| Telecontrol & automation | Reads sensors and machines, controls pumps and dosing, and sends everything to the platform, from inside the cabinet. |
A separate category: dedicated gas monitoring
Hydrogen sulphide corrodes concrete, ruins the air around a plant and puts crews at risk. myDatasens is built for that one problem: a sealed H2S instrument that logs the gas continuously and swaps its sensor without losing a reading.
myDatasens H2S1000
The specialist. A dedicated H2S monitor for sewers and industrial plants. The gas sensor module is the device: it records and transmits hydrogen sulphide concentration and nothing else. Sensor swap-out at the measuring point keeps data flowing while the old module goes back for calibration.
| Variant | Data handling | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Local | Device Config readout on site | Standalone recording where no cloud is needed |
| Connected | App plus historical data | Local radio readout with data management |
| Complete | Cellular to the platform | Remote sites reporting continuously to the cloud |
ATEX versions are available for Local/Connected and Complete. Sensor life is 2 years in air, with a 6 month calibration cycle, and the H2S module can be taken as Sensor as a Service covering provision, reconditioning, calibration, repairs and insurance.
Odour, corrosion and H2S monitoring
- Continuous H2S measurement in the sewer, with overload alarm
- Remote dosing control to cut gas concentration and limit corrosion
- Sensor exchange concept keeps data flowing through calibration cycles
- Time-to-service and projected calibration shown on the platform
